Energy saving trust - This website looks at how we use energy in the
UK, and give advise on how we can reduce it. It includes sections on the
UK's impact of climate change, tips on energy saving, reviews on
energy saving products, home improvements and how to generate your
own energy. It also includes a very useful section where you can enter
your post code and get a break down of energy saving grants and offers

Carbon trust - This UK based website is a more business focused than the energy saving
trust. Their mission is "to accelerate the move to a low carbon economy by working with
organisations to reduce carbon emissions and develop commercial low carbon
technologies". It includes advice on products and services for businesses to reduce carbon
emissions. It also includes a section where small and medium sized businesses could
borrow up to £100,000 (unsecured and interest free) in order to replace or upgrade their
existing equipment for more energy efficient versions.
Carbon footprint also contains a fairly
concise explanation of climate change.
In addition it has some useful features
such as a carbon calculator that gives
you a rough idea of your personal carbon
emissions. It also gives you the option to
offset your emissions through their

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change
publishes numerous and highly in-depth reports. It is
considered to be at the forefront of the debate, however,
some readers may find more detail than required. For

NewScientist has produced a 'A guide for the
perplexed' which breaks down climate change into
separate sections. There is also a blog where you can
add your own comments.
